At Cinch, devices may be activated before they are delivered to you. This is part of our standard preparation process to ensure your device works smoothly when you receive it.
Here’s why activation is done in advance:
1. Device setup and quality checks
Before shipping a device, our team performs several checks to ensure everything is working properly. This includes activating the device, running system checks, and confirming that all essential functions are working as expected.
2. Security and device management
As Cinch provides devices under a subscription model, the device remains a Cinch asset during the subscription period. To support this, devices are enrolled under our Mobile Device Management (MDM) system.
Important notes
Devices are reset before delivery, so they are not linked to any previous user accounts.
You will be able to sign in and set up the device as your own.
If you choose to purchase the device outright in the future, the MDM management will be removed.
