Your device may be locked for four main reasons: overdue payment, activation lock after a reset or during setup, a lost or stolen device request, or when Samsung devices remain offline for an extended period.
🔒 1. Device Locked Due to Overdue Payment
Your device may be locked if a scheduled payment was missed or if the system has not received your latest payment update. This is a security measure used on financed or managed devices.
Why it may still be locked after you paid
Once payment is made, the device attempts to unlock automatically. However, automatic unlocking may fail if:
It is not connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data
It was turned off during the unlock command
The system has not yet synced your payment
🔐 2. Activation Lock (Factory Reset or Setup Issue)
Activation Lock may appear if:
The device was factory reset
It locked during the initial setup
Why it happens
Activation Lock prevents unauthorised use after a reset or setup interruption. The device will ask for MDM credentials or display a lock screen you cannot bypass.
🔒 3. Samsung & Apple Request Lock (Lost or Stolen Device)
Customers may contact us to request that their Samsung or Apple device be locked remotely, typically when the device has been:
Lost
Stolen
Misplaced and at risk of unauthorised access
📴 Samsung Device Locked Due to Being Offline
Some Samsung devices may automatically lock if they remain offline for 7 days.
This happens when the device cannot connect to the MDM server to verify its status.
If this occurs, please contact our Customer Experience team. We will assist with verifying your account and provide the necessary steps to unlock your device.
